It's been a few years since the public has heard anything creative come about from our very own Kevin Wong and Jess Tse; but the silence is about to shatter come Labor Day weekend, as they host their first event under the moniker of Open Daily.
Between Kev's last art show, Revolve, and Jess's last public sighting at Adversus, the two have been entirely focused on building a solid foundation for their careers. Kev is now thriving as a graphic designer, currently taking on only select few projects through his freelance studio Afterrain, while maintaining a UX/UI position for an up and coming cannabis software company. Jess is steadily rocking in the kitchen with the good people at Neptune's Alameda, who recently opened in April 2017, taking over and reconstructing the building that used to be home to a Fosters Freeze joint. Together they've been plotting on some cool, fun, and functional projects under their Open Daily platform, in which some of us have seen through their Instagram story via Open Daily! From a customized cut and sew tote bag, a welcome mat, screen printed garments, and a mural at the Haus of Godspeed, the two have subtly allowed public to view the process of their hands-on projects from start to finish - have y'all been paying attention?
Luckily, the creative couple has put together a look book in collaboration with some friends on various projects in anticipation for their BBQ happening on September 2nd at Lindley Meadow in Golden Gate Park. Peep the flyer made by Kev for details. Till then, enjoy! This lookbook is for their first piece, shot by Kris Contreras and modeled by Low Lifes Skate Crew.
